As a result of the financial crisis and growing concentration on systematic risk surrounding insurance companies and their affiliates, regulators have engaged in an effort to broaden their reach over U.S. insurance holding company groups. The states currently require strict compliance with laws related to holding company operations and transactions. Recently, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) amended its Insurance Holding Company Model Act and Model Regulation to expand regulator’s reach over insurance holding company groups.
An essential part of an insurer’s compliance program should include strict adherence to applicable insurance holding company laws and regulations.
This webinar, hosted by the Gulf States Chapter of AICP, will discuss:
- What is needed to ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to insurance holding company operations and transactions, such as examinations, registration statements
- The NAIC’s amendments to its Insurance Holding Company Model Act and Model Regulation
- Recommendations and observed best- and worst-practice examples
After this webinar, insurance professionals will have a thorough understanding of Forms A, B, C, D, and E, and the new Form F and be able to implement an effective program to ensure compliance.
